Prof. James Cho Hong Goh
James Goh completed his B.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. He joined NUS in 1982 as a research fellow at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery where he eventually became a Research Associate Professor. He was part of the NUS Division of Bioengineering (now the Department of Biomedical Engineering) faculty when it was first established in 2002, and became a full Professor in 2008. He has received numerous research awards and has been the Head of the NUS Biomedical Engineering Department since 2010. He formed the Tissue Repair Lab in 2003 together with A/Prof. Toh Siew Lok and has since then been working on tissue engineering, prosthetics & orthotics, biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system, gait analysis and orthopaedic implant and design research.

RESEARCH STAFF
MONISHA
Monisha Joy Gomez, Research Assistant
Monisha joined the lab in 2019 as a Research Assistant. She completed her undergraduate studies in Food and Human Nutrition from Newcastle University. Before that, she attained a diploma in Biomedical Science from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Her current research involves engineering endplates to enhance tissue engineering of the intervertebral disc using microfluidics. After office hours, she can be seen either buried in her Kindle, stretching out at Barre, or café-hopping with friends, to the expense of time spent with her Miniature Schnauzer.
